Always gotta have a Fire Extinguisher. This is a Marine/Auto B-C rated one that I bought at Home Depot.
This is installed on the driver's side bedrail using the included mount attached to a Bed Rail mount that I bought used on TW.

A couple of cases of oil filters from eBay arrived a few weeks ago. Tacoma, Prius and RAV4.
Do you think we are a Toyota Family?

@Mobtown Offroad Bolt-on Slider installation. Sometime in the spring of 2016

    IMGP6123.jpg
    IMGP6114.jpg

    Parts inventoried and paintedIMGP6118.jpg

    Nuts and Bolts inventoried
    IMGP6120.jpg

Don't forget to check for these if you have an earlier 2nd gen. The beam clamps won't work for my '05
    Image.jpg

Make sure you look for any bolts and protrusions on the frame before you jack the heavy bastards up into the frame. You DO NOT want to bring it up and then have to bring them things down again.. and then back up again.
    IMGP6121.jpg

I used a Jack with optional side extension arms. Also used cam buckle straps as an extra safety measure. Did I mention these things are heavy?

Dude, how you held them up to the chassis is literally the most simple and effective way I've ever seen and now I feel dumb for not doing it. They're a (insert bad word here) to install alone. I do it often haha. Nice tip!

Yeah, it was pretty easy to bring the damn things up against the frame. The only reason it took more time, is that I used the safety straps. As I brought it up a few inches, I tightened straps a little more. Jack up, tighten straps, repeat.

The whole goal was to save the freshly painted sliders from scratches.

Scratches aren't really an issue anymore Haha

Side by side comparison of the OEM plastic gas tank "protection" vs. the @Pelfreybilt gas tank skid:
    IMGP6302.jpg

I like how the front of the skid bolts onto the frame crossmember vs. others that simply float underneath the gas tank, held by the OEM tank straps. Also like how the attachment bolts are protected by the welded on "triangles."

Jury rigged "axle limiting strap" to limit droop to prevent over-extending the new B110 Bilstein shocks and yanking off the stock brake lines. Extended brake lines are due as soon as I can break apart the flare nuts on the hard lines.

    IMG_0822.jpg

Almost reached the 27.28" extended limit of the shocks, even with the "Axle Limit" strap. About a half inch to spare.

My blower fan failed and I reached out to my buddies on the 50's thread. Fix was a good thump to the bottom of the motor casing under the glove compartment area. This lasted for about a month, which included 3 additional thumps.

Found this thread and cleaned the motor as suggested.

Works beautifully with no further thumping required.

A blower resistor could also a future culprit. I have this part in my Amazon list in case I need it.

    Sorry no pics.

With the Dakars+AAL and the Bilstein B110's, I should be OK without the limit strap. The strap is basically to prevent the OEM length brake lines from yanking apart. This is why I have only have a limit strap on the rear driver side. The passenger rear is strapless.

Once I get the extended lines installed, the strap goes away.
