My 06 model, the ac control head just pops off. then you have four bolts holding the head unit in. It's easy just don't scratch anything. That dash gouges and nicks easy so be careful.

As far as wiring it depends on if you want to use speaker level inputs on the amp or not,if it has them. I think their is a recent post on how to use the low level inputs and adapter to the stock head unit.

Honestly, If you don't know how to do this get someone that can physically help you. There is a lot that goes into doing a stereo CORRECTLY.

If you don't know anyone then I'd post in your local area on here and see if someone can assist you.\

    Good luck!

We can do what we can, but you really need someone to show you how to setup and tune it properly. I was in your position at one point, not knowing what to do, and I ended up blowing my subs in 2 weeks. Lesson learned. Get yourself some local help, post in your regional thread asking for some help. Plenty of TW members willing to help.

its easy man....once you get the dash apart, youll need a wiring harness specific to your vehicle. youll need to get that from an audio dealer, they should have it in stock. then unplug the stock radio. match up all the colors on the harness to the new stereo harness. wire nuts and tape(no ground shorts). then plug in the harness to the truck s wiring plug, your good to go. if you got an amp,,,,,ALWAYS run the power wires down the driver side, and rca and speaker wires down the passengerside. that way there will be no engine hum going to your speakers. run an 4 gauge power wire through the fire wall to where you amp is(do not connect yet. run all the rca and speaker wires accordingly. run a 4g ground wire to the nearest chassis bolt(sand it down to metal first. seat bolts are good!. everythin is ready to be turned on......FUSE BLOCK AT THE Battery....cut your power one foot from the batterie, put in a 50 amp fuse, connect the power to the battery, ..............put in the fuse. put in the cd and see what you got.

Wire nuts and tape. Not in Az. Tape melts here.

solder and heat shrink is the professional way.

Also, engine hum is typically due to bad ground.

Installing stereo's is easy, once you know the tricks and basics to it. Ask for help in your regional section and learn from someone.. Don't blow up your equipment as you can't really be taught how to listen for distortion when tuning if you don't know what it sounds like in the first place.
