    Just put kenwood components 7" in front doors with tweeters in dash and a JBL micro 8w3 behind the seat with running off a JBL 400/4 sounds great

    Did you use any foam around door speakers or just dropped door speakers in?

    Can you post a picture of the final install? I was on a fence about the audio enhancer boxes bc I didn't think they covered the whole back panel after pulling the plastic compartments out. I have my back seats down for storage purposes 90% of the time and didn't want it to look like a hack job

    While there are some good options in this thread already, I thought I'd offer my experience. I was able to build a box to fit a 12" JL 12TW1-4 subwoofer behind the rear seats. I'm using a JL XD600/1 amp, and the sub sounds pretty good. I've never been happy with 10" speakers or smaller, so I pushed the design a bit to fit the 12". I already had that amp and a JL XD600/6, so I used those in combination with an audiocontrol 6 line out converter. I don't love the lineout converter, though, as i dont think it processes the highs as well. But the sub sounds really nice.

    This is a shot of the box before I finished it, showing the basic layout. I mocked it up in MDF first (the above box), and then built a final version out of baltic birch plywood due to some of the dimensions required (I had to use 1/2" material in a few places, and I don't like using 1/2" MDF on sub boxes). You can see in the second image there is very little dimensional margin with the sub in place, but it gave me the proper cubic feet for the speaker. The amps are both mounted on the right side of the sub, and the line out converter is on the left. I don't have a shot of it installed handy, but if you're interested I could get one. I had to remove the two storage compartments behind the seats, but otherwise this fit without modifying the truck.

    Not sure if the back plastic is different on the 17 to cover the rear window motor. If they are the same, and 16+ box should fit. Here's how I molded mine;

    The boxes for 3rd gen trd sport tacomas to fit behind the rear seats are not the same for 2nd gens because the motor for the rear sliding window gets in the way.

    '16 boxes don't fit '17 trucks due to the window motor. but maybe it's also true with the second gens.
