Subwoofer in Access Cab?

Has anyone had success stuffing a sub in their 3rd gen access cab?

 

I haven't purchased a truck yet and this might affect my decision to go with the Access vs. Double. I prefer the look of the access cabs but I want a decent sound system. Has anyone upgraded their stock OR Access cab?

 

There's some guy on here from another audio thread who's building an insert for the access cab door to house a sub in it. He'll be making them for sale too. That's all I know. Oh and people on here hate the small compact subs apparently.

 

Do you want ground shaking bass or subtle sounding?

 

I've had systems in my boats and vehicles for close to 20 years and I absolutely love my 10W3. It's being driven by an Alpine PDX-V9, which is feeding it 593 watts. I replaced a Rockford P3 shallow mount sub that ended up being fried from the Alpine. Now, I'll grant you that I did hate that shallow mount sub. IMO the W3 isn't a bullshit shallow mount, it's legit all the way.

 

Toyota did away with this?

i think its a factory sub that came as an option with access cabs? I like it because it glows blue at night. Multiple people have asked me what the blue thing is in my truck

I would love ground shaking but I doubt there is enough room for something ridiculous. I would settle for any type of enclosure that gave the truck some bass.

Sorrow no. It's a 2010. It's got a great Kenwood/Infinity/Kicker/Infinity set up. Sounds good to me. Check their site to see what they might be making these days

I emailed JL Audio as well. They said they haven't started working on it yet but should get a 3rd gen in within the next few months and start making it. That's all they said...
