I too have the subthump box in my 2011. Honestly the thing looks great, is solid and fitment is perfect. I didn't want to be negative to the guy posting the pics above but the box looks a bit amateur with the front part against the console. There are much better designs out there that can be adapted to the 2016.

Dropped off my truck with OEM Audio+ yesterday for the final fitment and install of the full Reference 450Q system and subwoofer enclosure/box. They said it should be a few days to get everything installed, photo/videoed, and sound testing done. Saw what it will look like while I was there for a bit, and i am very impressed. It does not look amateur at all. Super clean, super professional design and look. In person, the sub box looks clean and like it is a center console installed at the factory. It does not look like a big carpet box taking up the entire middle of the back of the cab like the subthump boxes of the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Access cabs. OEM has invested a ton of time and engineering with this system and the design. I feel lucky to have been able to hook up with them and help them by providing my truck for their design. I believe the final product will blow most everyone away. I have heard their systems in other vehicles and the quality is amazing. Can't wait to get it back and hear and see all they have come up with for access cab Tacoma owners. Here are some of the pics they provided in an e-mail update today. http://oemaudioplus.com/toyota/tacoma-access-cab/ http://www.shop.oemaudioplus.com/16-Toyota-Tacoma-Access-Cab-Reference-450Q-TYT-TAC-REF45Q-1600.htm

One thing I don't get is according to their website there will be 6.5" 2 way speakers in rear access doors, but on my '15 Sport there isn't speakers in the rear doors, they are in the headliner (which is a waste)

Think they are only making the system for the Gen 3 2016 models. Those have 6.5" in the rear doors. Maybe contact them to see if it will work on the 2015 and previous models?

Good call, just wanted to ask for others just in case. I'm not concerned 'cause I am trading my access cab in for a double cab '17. Arrives in a couple weeks :taco:

Yes, I have some updates. I was out of town on the East Coast, sorry for the delay in updating. I picked up my truck the day before i left for over a week. I have been home and driving with it for about a week now. I will take and post some installed pics later. It looks great, and the sound is truly amazing. It is way better than I even thought it would be using the stock Entune head unit. The sound is very crisp and the mids/tweeters maintain their clear sound at any volume. The sub hits pretty damn deep, and sounds great pointed down behind the front seats. All friends and family that have seen and heard it are blown away. The music sounds great between 35-60 on the volume bar. I have yet to find any song or music where i think "this is not loud enough, or does not sound good". Most music sounds great much below the highest volume. If you are looking for the deepest and loudest bass you have ever heard, this system is not for you. If you are looking for a system that plays the audio the way it should be: crisp, clear, loud, resonating, then this system would work perfect. I don't have some big, bulky, carpeted wooden box taking up my whole back seat. It is a low profile design that looks it came from the factory that way, and I have lost virtually no cab space. I have to take it back by them so they can make some minor adjustments I think, as well as make the seat belts stay in place on the back of the box (think they are using magnets for it possibly). They didn't have time before i had to pick the truck up. All of the guys there at OEM Audio + have been very helpful and great to work with. It really is a system worth the price. I would highly recommend it for any Access cab owners, even if I wasn't the one who gave them my truck for the design and testing.

I would have to say the volume is pushing about double compared to stock. It is already very loud and deep bass at 35-40

That's slick, but I'm thinking the seat belt buckles would rattle. Is that the case?

They are just held on with sticky tape as of now. They did not finish that part yet, but they said they are using some type of magnet for them. No, they do not rattle at all. I have actually just been just leaving them in place with the temporary tape, or letting them just lay behind the box.
