i have a sound ordnance 8” powerd subwoofer and my wife bought me a 12” Cerwin Vega powerd subwoofer.my question is can I just take the inline fuse out that I have ran to the battery instead of having to disconnect the wire from the battery so I don’t half to reset everything on my stereo?

thanks for your reply.i just wanted to make sure it would not blow the fuse if i left the wiring hooked up to the battery post and just took out the inline fuse.i just hate having to reset every thing on my stereo.

As long as that fuse powers everything you're working on, you'll be fine.

Yea that is the power wire running from the positive side of the battery to the powered sub and there is an inline fuse in it.

It has been a pretty good subwoofer.i never had any issues with it and it always did a pretty good job. If you just want something to fill up sound in your truck that should do the job for you.i mean your not going to hear it 2 or 3 blocks away.but it will at times make you think you can.i really like the 12” powered crewin Vega subwoofer that I replaced th SO with it is a slim design and just did fit behind my rear seat. But I think it sounds much better than the SO subwoofer.
