I have 2004 Tacoma DC. What would be a good sub set to throw in there. I dont want the custom behind the seat ones cuz I want some good brain rattlin bass. thanks!

cerwin vegas 15" comps x2!!! thats what im running and i hit 167dbs in a custom box with 2 2400 watt amps 2 caps and a gold top .....i wear some beats headphones while im driving and its cranked up and i still get a dam heacache

Heres my new Type R, Im moving the amp under the seat so it looks cleaner. This sub hits plenty hard for me in my extra cab.

Get a small square 10'' kicker L3 in a good box, They pound harder than 2 kicker 800 watt 10's.

 

I have one in my boat, can hear it coming from quite a distance!

 

The people telling you to get two 15" subs are idiots. They don't understand what good sound is... You will sound like those 16 years old kids that think they are pretty cool rolling around with only bass.

One 10" sub would produce awesome, great-sounding bass for a Tacoma. 10" subs produce very crisp, tight bass compared to 12" and especially 15". Two 10's would almost be overkill in my opinion.

Don't be one of those tools that thinks bass is the only thing that matters in a sound system.

I have four distinct audio 10's on a Kenwood amp (Can't remember which one at the moment). Overkill for my tacoma but fun to play around with in town haha

I have 2 12' jl audio subs in a ported box and they sound perfect they're overkill if you don't have good mids and highs I have component speakers in the front and back,
So I have four tweeters and mid bass drivers it sounds amazing

 

Screw alpine Type Rs...Apline Type Xs sounds soooo much better and hit way harder..ask me how i know
