Subwoofers

Not sure how I want to make this work, I want to put a subwoofer in the rear seat of my Tacoma I have an access cab with jumper seats and also have 2 kids I was thinking about buying a kicker 12 inch single enclosed sub, but I’m not sure how to make it all fit back there. Unless I make my own box and put it in the storage under the seats.- any feedback would be great thanks guys

For reference, pretty much anything you can think of tacoma wise if you just google what you're trying to do, will probably come up with a Tacoma World thread in the first couple results with some one asking the same question. I've thought of some pretty random things that I was sure no one had tried before and sure enough there was a TW thread.

 

With two kids, make it easily removable (for you). Mine is sitting in the hallway and will go back in on Friday.

 

I have a Kicker Hideaway under the front passenger seat in my Access Cab. I like it- not nearly as powerful as my L7 in my old STi, but it gives enough emphasis on bass to feel comfortable. I have it paired with a Kenwood DDX9702S headunit, 4 Kicker KS speakers which are powered by an Alpine Power Pack. You can see my post here for part numbers and links.

 

I have a 10" Image Dynamics sub that sits in between the jumper seats. The box is from Supercrewsounds and was a direct fit. Probably not the greatest quality box but I've been bumpin it hard for a couple years and have had no issues. I also retain full use of my rear jumper seats! Those legs are supposed to go to the floor but I think they sent me a box for an earlier year Tacoma. Still fits and works fine.

 

Actually their boxes are pretty decent for what they charge for them.
