DTRL, Debadged, Donkey tethered in the bed that rips 142 db farts so I can piss off the neighbors and rattle the windows on my house when I'm parked in front.
My buddy has a 1996 Toyota Tacoma DLX 6 Cyl 3.4L
and he needs to replace the shocks. Looking for a quality replacement that will not breeak the wallet.
    He's looking at these:
    KYBs:
    Rear:
KYB Rear Shock Absorber and Strut Assembly - MonoMax - Shock absorber
    1996 Toyota Tacoma DLX 6 Cyl 3.4L $62.95 ea
    Front:
KYB Front Shock Absorber and Strut Assembly - MonoMax - Shock absorber $62.95 ea
    OR Bilsteins:
    Front:
Bilstein Front Shock Absorber and Strut Assembly - Heavy duty - Shock absorber $90.95
    Rear:
Bilstein Rear, Passenger/Driver Side Shock Absorber and Strut Assembly - Heavy duty - Shock absorber $70.95 ea

How important is it to have the different shocks in the 1st gen to accomodate the "Taco lean"?
Can anyone recommend or dis' the above shocks?:)
Any other suggestions for a good, relatively heavy duty product?
    Thanks much eveyone.

The drivers side tends to sit lower than the passenger due to the gas tank and driver being on the same side.
