I'm only looking for ~2" of lift, so I'll prob do the 884's. And since I don't have new wheels in the budget, I'll go with 265/75/16 so don't have to hack anything apart!

Looking at the same set-up here (884s with 5100s).. If I want more lift after the 884s are installed, can you preload them by setting the billies to .85 setting?

Some people say you shouldn't, but there are a few people who have with no issues. I'll probably go .85 on mine if and when I get a new bumper.

I could be wrong here, but I was always under the impression that you get your lift height only from the springs. Adjusting the shocks will only affect your ride quality not your ride height.

    Yep. 884@0. Thanks!
Adjusting the spring perch increases (or decreases) height and stiffness.

Sometimes you can find someone in your area selling unused parts at a discount on TW. I got lucky and found a guy in my area selling a full set of brand new 5100s, Wheeler's progressive AAL, lean spacer, and a few Toyots oil filters for $350. I bought the 885 coils myself. Under $550 for the complete lift.

He probably didn't pay them to assemble the coils.

I pieced it all together on Amazon. I'll put the links up when I get home on my computer.

    Hello there Kiesster:
I was looking over the thread and wanted to chime in real quick. Our Bilstein kit which includes: all four Bilsteins, 1/4" top plate spacer, your choice of lift coils, the Deaver add-a-leaf and free shipping to the lower 48 States is $642.99 which is $12.99 more then what EatSleepTaco's paid but you do get the 1/4" top plate spacer which when purchased on its own is $29.99. Maybe you are looking at the kit with assembly which would then make it $100 more but Amazon can't provide that service. :)

If you'd still like the links, I can post them up. Like headstrong said, it was only a bit cheaper (I also got the $30 diff drop, so like ~$50 cheaper) but the name of the game was as cheap as possible for me.

@EatSleepTacos I appreciate that but I don't think I'll need them. I'd rather get it all from one source and be able to get support from them if I need it. Thanks for the offer though!

The Headstrong kit is extremely comparable to this one from Toytec:

Both kits are so similarly priced, I am torn. I've heard nothing but awesome reviews of the OME springs vs the Eibach springs (softer ride + more lift). But then again, Toytec is local to me...

I'd really like to do the OME 887s and be done with it, I just can't afford new UCAs :(

Why not the 884's or 885's? Are you putting in a steel bumper and/or winch? I think the 887's are rated for ~300lbs of extra weight in the front. But if you're just running the stock bumper and your main goal is just to get a lift I feel like 887 might be overkill IMO.

887s are same spring rate as the 885s, just slightly longer and will yield more lift [from my TW research of course] It is the 886s that are the higher spring rate to handle the additional steel bumper/winch weight
