I got about 2"-2.5" lift on my AC prerunner 4.0 including adding a winch (U.S. Offroad mount and synthetic line) with 5100s at 0 and OME884 coils, and went up to 265/75R16 Duratracs and it rides nicely in the front. My back end is a little stiff with Alcan leaf packs (with 5100 shocks as well), but that's probably on account of my ordering them a little stiff and basing the spec on the amount of gear I'd have on an overlanding trip rather than for daily commuting.

Total cost for me for the suspension was about $1200 with a DIY installation.

Suspension parts came in and they are sweet!! Unfortunately, I won't have time to get them in until about 2 weeks from now, but until then maybe I can get your opinion on whether or not to add the 1/4" spacer...does it make a big difference, or can I get by without it affecting much?

Add the spacer!!!! You will definitely see the driver side settle 1/4 to 1/2 inches more than the passenger side. Stock coils are made to account for this.

If I was to get 885s with 5100s and a dakar pack, would I need any diff or bearing drop kit? On an access cab, is that about 2.5"?

Spacer doesn't matter imo. I have had that same setup on my truck for ~8k miles and I have no noticeable lean.

So your hub to wheel well measurements are identical? I can assure you mine aren't, and I have the same model and year as you.

If you get half way done with the install and have a problem, will someone at Amazon take the phone and guide you through the process? A reputable vendor is more than just an address on a shipping label. Marie (@ Headstrong Offroad) provides the experience of thousands upon thousands of lift kits. You don't get that from Amazon.

OK...My lift; OME 885X's. Bilstein 5100's (@ 0") 1/2" plate spacers (for total lift of 3-1/16" above what it was stock) Deavers 2" AAL, Headstrong U-Bolt flip kit, struts assembled (by Headstrong) and I had just a tic under $800 in a lift that works extremely well, rides great, performs great, and looks exactly like I wanted. I got extremely lucky with alignment numbers. I was going to try to get "acceptable" numbers with stock UCA's....Turns out I got 2.9 degrees + caster, which is "desirable" rather than just acceptable (with 3" of lift) Under most circumstances, a lift beyond 2-1/2" would require new UCA's. Again, I was lucky. Most don't get that much caster.

Just a personal opinion, but while installing a lift is an excellent time to do the U-Bolt flip.

I agree with @3coma. Add the spacer. I have a 1/4" spacer on my driver's side and I still have a noticeable lean.

Sorry it took me awhile to get back to you. We close at noon on Fridays and usually don't come back in until Monday at 9am and Mondays are always really hectic. The 1/4" top plate spacer helps accommodate for the lean you see when switching from factor to aftermarket coils so it is recommended to install it. I have seen trucks with varying degrees of lean but it is extremely common which is why it has been dubbed the "taco lean." :D
