So I drive a 2000 Prerunner 2wd, I want to lift it to make it a little more beefier, I'm not going to be doing anything extreme with it so it will be more for looks. I want to go 2.5" on 31x10.5 r15, so I was wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction for a relatively inexpensive lift kit or if there might be anything I'm unaware of needing. I'm a freshman in college so I am on a budget, I would like to keep the lift between $400-$600. Please let me know!

I bought a 2000 prerunner at the beginning of the year as a daily driver and it came stock on 31's. The entire truck is stock since I bought it from an older guy who used it as his daily driver, all he did was maintenence and garaged the truck so its in really great condition almost new. I thought the prerunners all came with 31's? I'm looking to lift it and fit 33 then I'm done any suggestions? With the 31 that are on the truck there is a lot of room so I was thinking if I did a 3 inch lift I could put 33 maybe?

They guy just replaced the shocks and struts with KYB's so he's not really performance oriented more like budget minded. Plus KYB's aren't what they used to be I am looking into OME kit for about 1600 that's including the OME suspension kits (883) and some upper control arms is that a good idea?

OP there are numerous lift kits under $500 that will lift your truck I don't know if they are good but they are inexpensive it's all longer shackles, blocks and strut spacers. Which is easy to install and easy on the pocket book. When I had an SR5 during the 90's I cut my own shackles, all though I don't recommend towing with long shackles.
