    Guys,

    Thanks for all the suggestions. I think the reason for such a high price for the cat(s) being replaced is he only uses geniune Toyota parts. This guy has worked for Toyota since the 1960's and now works out of his home and only works on Toyota vehicles. I imagine replacement cat(s) from Toyota is the reason why the price is high. He said he has used cats from NAPA which are cheaper but he has seen them fail sometimes as early as 9 months. I think looking at it from his standpoint, if he uses a cheaper replacement part and it goes bad in say 9 months it makes him look bad. But at 234,000 I think I will take my chances. He is honest and up-front with me. I will talk to him tommorrow because the windshield is getting replaced because it has 2 cracks.

    For those who asked how long will the light stay out after the reset it varies. It has gone as long as one week to as little as half a day depending on driving conditions.
