Has anyone used an adhesive backed heat cloth to replace the aluminum foil heat shield under the passenger side floor board? Has anyone ripped theirs off and said screw it, who needs it?

If needed I'm thinking of using this product: http://thermotec.shptron.com/p/24-x-36-suppressor

I can say that thermotec stuff is the sh*t. I lined my muscle car with it and its crazy quiet and from what I can tell, very insulated.
