Anyone notice a bump in mpgs with summer blend?

I'm on my 4th (all 4.0s with auto and 4x4) and all 4 have gotten around 18 mpg during the winter and about 21-22 during the summer

Just curious if there's been a similar bump with the new engines since they were released in the fall/winter

Hmm, I still get about 18-19. Though I just put on new tires and have seen it mostly the same but down to about 16.5 in some cases. All time high was about 21 I think. I'd love to know how some of you can get such high milage! I'm in mostly flat Kansas too.

More info in my fuelly badge in my signature. First time I've actually tracked it, never cared in my Tundras because I knew it would be bad. I think I averaged about 14 combined. 16 on long trips.

I've had the stock tires on the whole time till now. I just got the new ones on Saturday so everything in Fuelly has been with the stock Toyo Open Country's that came with my truck. I try to have a pretty light foot too. Lots of variables though. I've seen 24 once or twice on the trip computer only when going about 55-60 for many miles without stopping. Highway on the other hand (65-75) is only about 17-18 since it almost never stays in 6th gear. Dropping to 4th at the slightest incline even. But that's another issue well documented around here.

Not really complaining though, since I didn't really have any sort of expectation with it coming from V8 equipped trucks my whole life. Just amazed at what some have done around here. I did go about 50 miles on one trip yesterday on my new tires for reference and still managed to get 18.7 on the trip computer when I shut it off. Not too bad. They're BFG ATs in 265/70/17 form. Load C.

I would fall out of the truck if I saw anywhere near that. Catch anything down there?

I will say that the beautiful car on the right here manages to get about 25 MPG when feathering the throttle. Step into it and it's gone of course but it can be done on trips.

Sadly it's no GT or Eco Boost. Just the run of the mill 3.7L V6 (AT), but it is a convertible and it does handle beautifully. One day I'll own a GT of some sort (MT). Maybe an S197. But I got a great deal on this and split it with my father since he has the garage space and I don't. Haha.

I did see an increase when it started getting warmer though. During the winter I was averaging about 16-17. It's pretty consistent at 18-19 now. So that was a bump due to temperature and possibly gas blend too. But when the freezing temps stopped it was an instant improvement
