Summer Overland Expo trip through Nevada.

Sounds good for the CA gang. Maybe also a slower way for the NV gang to get back to town.

 

I took 10 spare gallons of fuel with me, never had to use it. Re-fueled in Gerlach, very exspensive! I traveled about 400 miles, I didn't expect to travel that far. Most of the trails/roads were active mining roads and were somewhat maintained. I wasn't expecting that and we traveled about 35-40mph in some spots...

 

I get like 300 to a tank though. Haha. I'll probably bring like 15 gallons, maybe 20 so I can skip fueling in Gerlach.

Lots of county roads which should be decently maintained. Allied Nevada has a growing mine on the north east side of the black rock, Hycroft. Pretty neat mine. So that area should be decently maintained if for some reason we find ourselves that way. Near Sulfur.

I will say this. There is a strong likelihood I stay in NV this summer. If I'm off and away I might not be able to make it, though it's doubtful I will be. If I'm in Nevada I will be planning work around this trip.

Just saying... I don't want this trip to be contingent on me.

we're making this a week long vacation..driving up thursday and leaving sunday night or monday morning

I live in Vegas but would love to make a trip up north. It would have my 13 year old son and myself. We will go any time or place......

 

It would be nice to have someone that knows where we are going along.
