I had mine in the open and hot sun (open bed) for 2-3 weeks before the smell went away. I will say that it was strong during that time; you could smell it within 3 feet of approaching the bed of the truck.

Also, it seems to be non-marking. I didn't get any black marks on me or my clothes when I was handling it during installation.

I have had this mat for about a year now and it has taken a lickin but still looks good and performs well. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

this is a great mat for the money. easy to trim for short beds. doesn't smell like rubber for days/weeks on end that some people were worried about. nothing slides around on it at all.

great for the money. thanks for the review OP.

Does anyone know if the bed mat for a 2011 will fit a 2012, 6' bed? Thanks!

Welcome to TW guys!!! I don't know if the beds have changed through the years but I don't mind taking some measurements of mine when I get home... I'll post them here and you can compare them to yours. I don't know how much help it will be to bobv but it should help you DDZPyrite as mine is a 5' bed also.

If anyone else has a tape measure and a couple of minutes to measure before I get home please post and help these guys out. Thanks!

This is where I bought mine....and cheaper than Summit. I have a 2008 5 ft. bed......and once I cut off the extra length (only comes moulded to fit a 6 ft bed) it fit great. I used a Multi-mat tool to cut mine, as the rubber is pretty thick and would take a long time with a utility knife. As good or better quality than one from Toyota......and looks great. I can't think it won't work with a 2012, as the body style hasn't changed since 2005. Buy it...you won't be disappointed.

The mat fitted my 2012 tacoma access cab perfectly, not cuts or sizing was needed,i simply unrolled into the body..

This is a quote from the reviews section on Streetside Auto.. Hope it helps..

Thanks taco4X4... I'd take from your experience then that the DeeZee Bedmat would fit '05-'12 Taco's.

i'm curious as to why guys that have a bedliner already are ordering these to place on top of the bedliner? seems like overkill

    Awesome price!!! :yay:

I got tired of having to tie/bungy something down to keep it from sliding all over the place. With the mat, you place your item(s) in the bed and when you get to your destination it's still there.

only reason i got it :D been holding off for a long time but i couldn't bail on 50 bucks for a brand new mat with good reviews

2nd on the bungees, i have about a dozen in my bed at all times and use them constantly

too much crap sliding around in the bed, got sick of having to climb up in after a short drive to get things out from under the tool box that slid forward. Plus occasionally i'll do some work in the bed and the bedliner killed my knees.

I had an OEM mat in my 2005 that went with the truck when I upgraded to a 2008 4 door. The 2008 didn't have one and I immediately missed not having one...when I put some stuff in the bed of the truck. (the new truck did have a bed liner...just not an additional rubber mat) The Street side mat looks almost identical to the OEM....and quality is the same.....and I don't think you can find one cheaper! They only come in 6 ft lengths....so I had to cut it to 5 ft.....but I used a Multimate tool with a mini saw blade and it did a great job cutting the mat. Get one...you won't be sorry !!:D

Hey tcp7912 does the Street Side bedmat come with the scribe line to guide cutting it to a 5' bed like the DeeZee does or did you have to measure it?

Best 55 bucks I spent on my truck, plus the DeeZee distribution warehouse is about half a mile away from my house, it was delivered in less than 24 hours.
