They sure look like the ones that come with low ranges flip kit, that's what I was pointing out.

You're right. Low Range's kit has a shorter sumo springs to compensate for the taller brackets.

The Tacoma and the Tundra basically shares the same Sumo Spring kit though the 1000 lbs kit is already stiff enough as it is. Using something like the 2800 lbs kit would probably feel like riding on solid bump stops.

Anyway, the sumo spring engineer said that they can't make the sumo springs taller as "they will end up folding over on themselves". While installing, I will have to find a happy medium with the spacers they provided.

It might if the brackets will fit between the ubolts and welded onto the flip mount.

why not just do a proper airbag or full leaf pack setup. Airbags give you a PROPER increased load handling rather than replacement bumpstop things IMO

This is the same configuration but with the softer durometer. Might be a cheaper solution than the low range kit, it certainly looks like the bracket would fit between the nuts on a flip kit, I wonder if the holes would line up to the pre drilled flip plates such as all pro offers.

Quite a few people in here are happy with the sumosprings, in the stock configuration where they rest on the frame at all times. I think that they are maintenance free appeals to some. We are just trying g to figure out how to employ these in a lifted application.

A full leaf pack would be ideal. This is basically just an experiment. It seems like to reconfigure my suspension every six months.

Stock with a camper shell for now.
So do you have to run a longer shock when you install these ?

The stock kit, no. If you have a lift, you should already have longer shocks to run the spacers with the sumo springs.

I purchase a set of SSR 610-40 super springs from Amazon and they came black not blue. Did they ship the wrong ones ? I think I may have the medium duty sumo springs. I only need blue. Anyone have black and suppose to be blue?

What I have are blue which has a 1000lb capacity. The black ones are 1500lb capacity.

If you look under densities, it goes from Blue, Black, then Yellow as far as capacity and stiffness goes.

How is your ride with the blue ones ? Do you like the ride ? The black are firm no bouncing over bumps.
    Thanks

I haven't had time to install them yet because it's not just the sumo springs that are going on. I'm also installing my overload leaf back in the pack which would give it another half inch of height. I also have UCA's and coils going on the front. So basically lifting the front and rear a little bit more and also need to get an alignment. I'm hoping to get everything installed next weekend and will update everyone on how it rides.
