so I ended up going with the wheeler's AAL pack, and timbren active bump stops. So far so good, not harsh when I have no tent on the truck. I've hit the bumps once or twice with a full cab and stuff in the bed with the tent, and it wasn't jarring like it was with a stock set up. overall I'm pretty happy with it.

ps it's only been a couple of months so the springs haven't sagged yet, but even with a tent on the back the rear end doesn't drop at all. so now I gotta raise the front end

IMHO, if your running a RTT all the time, it's better to do a full leaf pack rather then AAL. Since when you actually go out on a trip, your going to load gear and people. Dakar packs are the best value for sure and offer great support. Not the best ride, but if you have the RTT on all the time, ride quality won't be effected much at all. Good luck.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
I've been quit satisfied with the performance of the RMAS while towing my pop-up camper. I have not had a chance to do much off roading yet to answer the question thoroughly.

I added a 3-leaf AAL pack when I did my suspension (i have the icon because I bought as a kit, but I think most of the 3-leaf packs are pretty much the same), and I have an RTT+bars (about 160 pounds or so) on my bed at all times. Have had the suspension for a couple years. I was so excited to put everything on that I forgot to take before/after measurements, but visually I haven't seen any real sagging yet. I haven't bottomed out except when I deserved it.

I weigh about the same as my bars + tent and I stood in the bed. My coworker said the truck barely moved Lol

I removed my Sumos and replaced with RMAS. The Sumos always were in contact...and it was a little harsh. I’ll be posting them for sale.

6 months later, ride feels a tiny bit different than from brand new. I can't tell if its harsher or softer, tbh. springs still haven't sagged. Pretty happy with this....I'll be doing shocks and coilovers in the front next year so we'll see if these will keep up.

I’ve been running these for about a year now, no negatives I have encountered.
