Will a sun lite eagle camper fit in a DCSB? Also will it be ok without suspension mods for the 2.5 hour drive to get it home?. Its a 2000 and currently fills an AC bed back to the end of the bed. I am hoping it will fit my DCSB with the tailgate down.

Pictures would help. Have been hauling a slide-in camper for 17 years in an 01 Taco AC. Tailgate may have to be removed depending on your camper configuration.

It sits all the way to the back of the AC bed , which is long. Hoping the tailgate on mine gives me the extra foot I need

Do you have camper tie-downs installed on your truck? Suspension should be adequate to drive home providing you don't make any quick maneuvers. It will be a bit adventurous without rear suspension mods.
