After reading through a ton of posts, I wasn't really able to gain a consensus on which sun shield fits the 2017 Tacoma the best. The other shields I have for my cars have too much gap on the sides, and end up curling on the corners. I'd really like something that fits the perimeter of the windshield to provide some protection for the pillars and dash combined. I'd also like something that's a bit more rigid.

    Thoughts based on personal experience?

Weather tech makes custom fit windshield screens with a dark side for winter and reflective side for summer. They have an entire kit for all the windows for the 3rd gen tacomas too.

Thanks for this link. My buddy has a weathertech and it was really expensive and I can't see it being much better than other companies out there. I just have a cheapie from Vatozone right now and it does a decent job but my buddies weathertech is much better. Just too expensive for a sun visor.

Right? I mean I love my weathertech floor mats and I'd be all over their sun shade. But that price tag....

Actually I was looking at a vendor's price of $80, by mistake, it looks like they're only $10 different. HS @ $40 and WT @ $50

Definitely not a roll of the dice, I think you'll be pleased they have been making these for a very long time.

I took the UVS100 off the list because someone that had one indicated there was a pretty wide gap on the sides. There's a picture somewhere on this forum. I would prefer the folding version personally, but don't want a wide gap.

I've been using one of those jobs that you twist and fold up that I got from donating to the local co-op radio station. It actually fits surprisingly well...squares with the rounded off corners but it has some extra flappy nylon to help get all the corners. Plus I am flaunting my support/advertising for KOOP 91.7 in Austin, which is a great station.

I just bought this and it is truly is a fantastic sunshade. I had this for my 2002 Tundra and it held up for almost fourteen years without wearing down. It's thick too so it blocks a ton of thermal energy.

    Working on it.
I bought one from level 7 here on the forums. It is one of the twist and store, pop-up tent type. It works well and folds up and fits in the back pocket of the passenger seat. I am very happy with it.

Wasn't a fan of Heatshield so went with Covercraft.
