    Hello,
I am new to the forum. I recently purchased a 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport, and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase a driver side sun visor with the extension to block the sun?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ray

Try positioning the sun visor next to the drivers window. You can then slide it towards the back of the truck. No need for extenders.

    Thank you Herniator,
I feel pretty foolish right now Lol. I just bought this truck a week ago, and yesterday was the first time that I needed the extender to block the sun,but the sun visor didn't have one. Never thought about sliding it towards the back since I was driving . Yup both driver and passenger slide towards the back. My Tundra has an extender, so I thought the Tacoma needed one also. Lol.

My wifes highlander has the extenders. I like this better as it has better coverage then the extenders.
    Enjoy your new truck.

    Yes Sir,
My wife's Maxima has the extender so I thought all the sun visors had to have extenders. You're right though the full sun visor will add better coverage.
    Once again, Thanks.

We've all been there. Be sure to read through this thread:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tips-and-tricks-on-the-2016-tacoma.411911/

Lots of useful stuff that is easy to miss in the manual, or not in there at all.

    Thanks flesheatingvirus,
I went thru all the threads, but I didn't see one on upgrading the rear view mirror so that it opens the garage door, any ideas?

The only thing like that I recall had to do with purchasing/installing the upgraded mirror that has the feature built in.

Search on "Homelink V" and you will find lots of mirror threads. I installed the homelink v enabled mirror on my Sport in about 10 minutes and it was totally plug & play.
