Three hours away......this might be a tough one for me to go to. Does sound like fun though. Is there a website of the offroad park?

    Do it!!!
It's a park so you don't have to spend the whole day there.
Not sure how big it is but 9 times out of 10 I could get back to the parking lot at Rausch Creek in about a half hour.
But I'm not sure how that park is set up so there's no guarantees:rofl:

The issue is the 3 hour drive out there for just a one days worth of wheeling. With 2 younger kids, a wife that works most weekends, and working 50+ hours a week, I have to choose my time away wheeling strategically.

    Congrats on the new gig!

They got a Facebook page. There are a few good YouTube videos to give you an idea. This place is a little more dickering around on a friends farm than the full Rausch creek corporate theme park experience..

Bring the kids with you. My favorite part of having the boys is I always have someone to force into my hobbies.

I'm 4-5 hours away, but I could possibly come out for the weekend and camp at Lake George. Do other stuff Saturday, then wheel Sunday until 2-3pm. I won't know for sure until that week.

Are we planning to make a reservation? Mettowee has some system to request an appointment on their FB page.

I would bring the kids......unfortunately I have 2 girls, 12 and 6. Not their cup if tea. I've tried to take them locally......they are just not into it.

Wow this looks great! The lady and I are tentatively in!
If anyone else is interested we will most likely be camping the night before up that way.

I should be able to make it! Girlfriend's mom just got a place in Vermont about an hour and a half away from there and we're helping out that weekend, works out perfectly!

I'll have to think about this one, any open camping spots nearby?

its a 5-6 hr drive for me from Maine..

I'd have to leave home at 3AM....

Pretty much any NY state park is open for primitive camping. I'm considering something in the Lake George area, which has more established campsites. It's usually very busy during the summer, but I don't know what to expect this late in the year. You might also look at parks just across the border in VT.

I've been searching campsite locations for this trip, definitely spots in VT next door, as well as NY outside Lake George. All the areas I'm looking at are free, first come first serve, and should be deserted that weekend. Debating on heading up Friday to make it a full weekend... Try and do some climbing and/or explore some more "trails" in the rig.

They might be more populated than you think. It's hunting season.
