You can order the 5 person tent in this order; however, it will be ~$100 more and might take longer since it is a different tent than the others.

 

There is a 15 person cut off for the California location since Francis can only handle 15 tents.

 

Just FYI I have a house/family in Orange County(if that's easier) if i do somehow make the list.

If pickup north of Florida is still on the table as per Key-Rei's offer, I'm happy to compensate for time/gas etc. @Key-Rei and any northerners still interested in that?

 

Im down for wherever on the east coast. It looks like either way @Key-Rei will be willing to drive through NC to deliver this so either way is good with me. However I also want to see a final price. My number is going to be $600 @Mrguitarguy01. So please let us east coast folks know whats up.

Ok so I'm trying to follow along here.

We have 20 people, and a handful of us on the East coast. You want to ship all the tents to CA and then have us east coasters pay to have them shipped from there to AL or FL? But then you said there's a 15 tent limit on the CA location, so I'm a little lost. Why can't we just have part of the order shipped to FL or AL to begin with?

My expectation was to pay $6xx for everything, and then cover driving to wherever on the East coast to get the tent. If that's looking like I'm gonna have to spend closer to 7-800 just for living on the East coast I'll probably wait til an East coast specific buy (and I see alot of maybes this side of the big river so I assume that will happen)

 

It's going to CA and TX because that is where Francis and I are at. We will handle all the customs stuff. At the time of this we did not know there would be interest on the east side.

We don't know anyone on the east side.

 

I am with this man! If need be ill wait till a strictly east coast buy comes next.

Im ok with $600, but as stated above if shipping proves to add more than I will wait for an Eastern group buy which is seems we have a good amount in numbers for already.

 

Alright so if I can get the thing post shipping to somewhere I can drive to pick it up for sub 700, I'm still in. If not, someone else can have my spot. If that loose commitment isn't acceptable at this point, then go ahead and remove me.

I'm cool to about $700 though I'd be happier with less. I'd prefer to pick it up in Austin rather than Houston but that's a minor concern.

 

Doesn't Fastenal do freight shipping? It would be ~$150-200 a tent but then it could be shipped from California to anywhere in the US & cut out all this extra logistical work.

 

I'm in Austin, and would be picking it up from Houston to bring to Austin. No worries.

 

Yes. We will probably be using fastenal if we need to. We're still waiting for a quote.
