I think Pilot Rock works for me on 23SEP depending on what time we’re meeting.

Santiago Peak is my little personal playground up until douchebag started that fire!!! :annoyed::frusty: I know that and Indian Truck Trail pretty damn good by now!!! I've done both in the dark I don't know how many times now???!!!:mudding: But, again, unfortunately it will likely be shut down for quite some time??? :(

    Anza Borrego:
Regarding "Calcite Mine", that is doable in 2wd, but know that open diff might be giving you problems if you don't have lockers (rear lockers for 2wd). I know this first hand. Plus, you want to keep the number of rigs to probably around 4-6x rigs and really no more than that. Hell, you'll probably have a bit of a hard time with 6x rigs up at the top??? Once at the top, you have to go back down the same trail because the top IS THE TOP!!!

Anyways, Calcite Mine is cool as well!!!

Fish Creek Wash is also a good place to go wheeling!!! Don't let it fool you in that it is an easy trail, which it is, but there are SOME spots that will likely have soft sand. Just beware of that possibility.

Oriflamme Canyon (a.k.a. Mason Truck Trail) is also an excellent place to wheel. 2wd friendly (recommend starting from the 78fwy to the S2 fwy... essentially DOWN the mountain).

And yes calcite is doable in 2wd Locke’s rear with a semi experienced driver.(right @BandanaBerg?) Last time I went it was much better and the holes are getting deeper. If no maintenance is done it will be a difficult trail in a few years
The little punch bowl at the top is pretty fun as well

That’s too early since I’ll still be on a photography assignment. Thanks for the invite and info though.

Gonna try to make this if I can, 90% sure I'm in.

I'm up for doing the 2N17x trail, I've done it several times...it's a lot of fun but definitely 4x4 needed and clearance. It eventually meets up with the regular Pilot Rock trail about halfway into it, so some of us could take the 2N17x portion and meet up with the others where they connect.

So everyone is good with the meet time of 9 at the Chevron right off the freeway?
