    I am planing to instal sundown sa-8 v3 but they don't recommend sealed box


    Taco tunes with a id10 or id12

    Is there any other options

    SD3 is made for a sealed enclosure. I have one of the 10s - it's pretty fantastic.

    What year is your truck?

    Also i built a custom box for my SD3s, the problem is the channel in the box for the bar across the back wall, the magnet on these subs are huge. If you remove the child seat hooks then you have plenty of room for the magnet because you can make the channel in the box smaller. If you leave the hooks then the channel will be larger and may prevent the sub from fitting the box.

    They are weld on. Each hook has 3 spot welds that can easily be drilled out to remove the hooks. Thats what i did.
