I got a 23'trd offroad with a sunroof. Im just curious if anyone has also experienced this small leak above the tray in their tacos with a sunroof. I still need to check if it is wet around surrounding area but just wanted more input if it is designed like that by toyota and if it is normal. Thanks!

The sunroof seal is not water tight. That's why the sunroof frame has drains. As long as the water is dripping into the frame, you are fine.

So id assume its a normal thing to happen I guess. Same with the small leaks behind the door panel which some people stated as normal as well..

Make sure the drains are clear and you keep the seals lubricated with the same stuff you do your door seals with.

unbeknownst to many; this is true! All that I know of, essentially leak a little and have a catch, then drain.

So. I guess ill let it be and sleep knowing its normal. Im a little paranoid of water entering my cabin and causing mold and all sorts of issues.

There should be no water entering the cabin. At all.

It's what the channels, drains and seals are for. Moving water away.

Will have to check tomorrow if its wet around surrounding area. As long as it doesnt get the headliner wet im fine with it, also read a couple more inputs and some people say it is normal.

    I've had 3 Accords, a Legend and a RAV with sunroofs. I had 2 Z cars with t tops.

Only leak was the Legend when 2 drains were clogged.

To call it normal on a Tacoma? Bologna.

I don't have a sunroof on mine but based on your picture and what others have said I would check to make sure the drains and channels are clear of dirt and debris because water on the inside is a thing that should not be.
