Super Charger install

Anyone know any toyota dealership taht would do it in about 7.5 hours? and not cost an arm and leg for labor? hometown (stockton,ca) quoted 7.5 hours and labor cost at 135/hour..... anything in socal/norcal

If the dealer quoted 7.5 hours, then every other dealer is gonna quote the same. About the only thing you might save on is labor rates and only if you go somewhere with a lower labor rate.

Have you thought about looking for an independent mechanic to do the install?

 

Install it yourself, there easy, I've done two of them, and they are both still running no problem.

 

I'm not mechanically inclined and I would like to keep my warranty

 

I think most labor rates between dealerships are the same and the install time will most likely be the same as well. I remember there being a post somewhere where about a parts department displaying a SC with a quoted time for install from Toyota. That would probably be your best bet if you could find a dealer that had that on display, otherwise your kinda SOL.

 

i just made a few calls... i got priced at 1000 and 2000.. then i called one more they said it would be 600 =) in a week and a half im going to have a SC installed =) just in time for my cross country trip, thanks for the tip guys!

 

That labor time sounds right, but wow that's a spendy hourly rate.
I'm sure it's the norm there though, so everyone in the area will be about the same.

 

Where did you get quoted for $600? Im located in the bay area and was thinking about getting a SC installed through a dealer

 

i got quoted for socal, san diego toyota
