    1.) Will it fit? Probably
2.) Is it actually steel? Probably
3.) Is it the same quality as the local offerings? Not even close.

Personally I would save up a little more cash if I wanted to go full.

Cheap steel, bad welds, made in China. Not worth it. Do it right the 1st time. Pelfreybilt Bumper ROCKS!

This really is Ebay thread 2.0. People were saying the same thing! Yet that one turned out pretty stout.

I think the worst part is it didn’t even matter to the people who bought one just to save ~$200 off over any other reputable vendor option out there for 2nd gens. Not worth it IMO but penny pinchers gotta penny pinch and build up the demand for lesser quality overseas clones.

    I’d buy a bootleg bumper.

    Life is too short.

It was more than a $200 savings, but that's splitting hairs at that point. IIRC the bumper was $550 and that included PC and shipping. You're not getting that for less than $1k or so from any real vendor.

I agree, however I cant think of a reason for quality... If I rear end someone with a $1000+ steel bumper or a $600 steel bumper, their a gonner either way. ELI5 the quality portion

Quality comes down to fitment issues as well. On the other ebay bumper, people had to notch holes, shim with washers, and cut portions out of the bumper to not hit the AC line. With a little work it fit well enough, but not as well as known fabricators. That's the main point being made in terms of quality.

Brute force fab, 4x4innovations, pelfreybilt all offer hybrids around the $700 range. I’m not going to look up the rest but I’m sure there are a few more out there. Shipping adds $~150 roughly so it’s a $300 savings sure. Group buy would bring it down even more if you got lucky at time of year on decision to purchase. If this was a home grown offering I’d be down to save that cash but the principle behind it and the initial fitment issues were a joke.

Plus powdercoat which is another $200. That's the point I was making. For someone on a budget willing to do a little extra work, they are a great option.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
SOS Concepts has 20 percent off right now, for a basic bumper its starting around $720 for a 3rd gen. If your on a budget paint it yourself.

Pelfreybilt are on sale right now... Tried and tested. Honestly I think you would be fine running an ebay bumper but why take the chance? Say you get it, install then realize the fit isn't quite right? Or even worse your on trail and some shit bends way before it should.
