    VIDEO GAMES: Rainbow 6 Patriots Announced, Will Rappel Down In 2013!?

    Developed by Ubisoft Montreal with assistance from Ubisoft Toronto and Red Storm, Rainbow 6 Patriots will follow the counterterrorism Team Rainbow squad as it tries to put down a group of American insurgents known as the True Patriots. As players look to suppress the True Patriots' budding revolution, they will be faced with "tough ethical decisions," according to Ubisoft.

    "Terrorism has evolved and so has Rainbow 6. In Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Patriots, all the team play, tactics, and realism that fans of the series love have been coupled with an exciting new narrative direction," Ubisoft creative director David Sears said in announcing the title. "This adds an unprecedented level of humanity that will make Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Patriots an extremely tense and immersive experience."

    The game will also include cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes that aim to encourage communication and teamwork.​
    I've been waiting for Ubisoft to announce a sequel to Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for some time. These so called "True Patriots" are people who are fed up with the greed on Wall Street and plot to attack New York City. The mention of players facing "tough ethical decisions" is apparently some kind of branching morality system where your decisions will affect the fate of innocent bystanders, and ultimately the story. I've played a lot of shooters and even I can't say I remember anyone of them having a feature like this.

    This news is kind of bittersweet. As happy as I am this has been announced, 2013 is a long wait.



    The game will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC sometime in 2013

    NEW HULK TV SHOW!


    Marvel's Head Of Television Jeph Loeb goes fairly in depth on the plans for the Hulk[​IMG] tv series here. He says that the most popular incarnation of Bruce Banner has always been Billy Bixby and explains how we never got to sympathize with his plight in the two Hulk movies the same as we did in the classic show. He says Mark Ruffalo's version of the character in The Avengers will change all that. He says Betty Ross is as big a part of the show as Banner and it's very much a love story between them. He also hints that even though the show will air after The Avengers movie, it will be set a long time before it. He also talks about the special effects that will be used to bring The Hulk to life, hinting that Guillermo Del Toro[​IMG] will use a similar approach to Hellboy. There is MUCH more on Hulk and various other Marvel projects too so be sure to watch but the TV stuff comes in around the 13 minute mark.
