    early October, it was reported that Seattle's real life superhero Phoenix Jones was arrested for assault. Later in the media, Jones has revealed his true identity. His real name is Ben Fodor, a mixed martial artist. There was a lot of talk about what will happen, but most people were hoping for the best and that it won't be serious. Well, according to Publicola.com, Ben Fodor was fired from his (day) job, where he was teaching life skills to autistic kids. Not only did he lose his job, but he also got a letter from the state Department of Social and Health Services, saying that he is banned from working with children.

    300 Sequel Gets Another Name Change And Possible Synopsis

    It seems as if the upcoming 300 sequel will be getting yet another name. Based on a casting sheet that has been handed out to casting agents the name will change from 300: The Battle of Artemisia as well as gets a possible synopsis.


    Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) is somewhat pushed into the bloody battle with the Greeks by the gold-covered maven goddess Artemisia. Artemisia, witnessing just how much his father King Darius’s death has affected him, persuades Xerxes – with her “vindictive charm” – to go into battle against those responsible.

    Artemisia tells Xerxes that he has no choice but to avenge his father’s death and has to man up before becoming king. So, he sets off to become a God because that’s the only way he can win the battle.

    Artemisia, on her hunt for a group of men to join Xerxes in the battle against the Greeks, doesn’t stop at brainwashing Xerxes. She also manages to convince Themistocles (the character “Animal Kingdom” star Joel Edgerton is in talks to play) to side with her somewhat. Though the Persians took his family, and he’s spent ten years training the Greeks for battle, Artemisia has such an allure about her that the muscly Greek is taken. Ultimately, she convinces him that his life will be better off if he swaps sides. But this guy’s also as good a liar as he is a fighter.    ​

    José Padilha Talks About What His Take On RoboCop Will Be

    Director José Padilha recently sat down to talk about what his vision for RoboCop is going to be, as well as says he plans on casting an American for the role of Alex Murphy.

    While chatting with Coming Soon RoboCop director José Padilha talked a little bit about what we might see from his version of the character. He also said that he hopes to be able to start filming early next year. Another thing that was touched on was that with some many people from different countries being cast in American superhero roles, Padilha said he plans to keep the role of Alex Murphy American.

    Kenny Powers' return was inevitable. After his siesta in the Mexican Minor Leagues, regaining his confidence and winning the hearts and minds of, well, Stevie, the star pitcher returns to play ball in the land where they call it their national pastime. Yes. The United States of America. And on HBO. And now we finally have a firm-ish date for the start of the third season, not to mention a look at his new ball club.

    From a twitter account that is not affiliated with HBO or Eastbound and Down, @KFUCKINGP, comes a snapshot of what looks like an upcoming trailer for the third season. The account Tweeted this picture a few days back, which gives January 2012 as the premiere date for Season 3.

    Narrowing that down, it won't be right after the holidays, and since other series that premiered in January on the network (like Flight of the Conchords Season 2 on January 18th), the middle of the month seems likely. And it airs on Sundays, so the 15 or 22 we'll be seeing our man Kenny back on the mound.

    Of course, that is if this twitter account is to be believed but this screenshot does look legit plus they've tweeted other stuff like the logo for his new team, the Myrtle Beach Mermen (same logo on his jersey in the picture), so I'd say they're probably reliable over at Million Dollar Deal$ and this is just the beginning of the promos for the upcoming season. We already reported that SNL's Jason Sudeikis was joining the cast as a buddy of Kenny's plus Mad TV's Ike Barinholtz as a star Russian pitcher named Ivan, both of which sound great. Sudeikis to get debauched with Powers and the Russian to flare up his competitive [read: dickish] side. Should be a lot of fun, hopefully a trailer isn't too far behind.

    Eastbound and Down was created by McBride, Jody Hill, and Ben Best (who plays the coked-out bartender, Clegg). Season 3 will apparently start in January 2012 on HBO, Sundays at 10:30 p.m. KFP.
