Hey y’all, just like the title says. Truck has a super long crank before it starts.

    specs:
    2000 sr5
    2.7
    259,000 miles
    4x4

so I turn the key and it make crank for 30-90 seconds before it finally fires up. Sometimes I could crank until the battery dies and it won’t fire. I have new plugs and wires and a new battery with high cca’s.

Not sure if the is pertinent, but the first time I started having starting issues was in Amarillo when it got to about -10 at night. After that it’s been hard to start in the cold (under 60 degrees) now it’s hard to start all the time even when it’s been 75 degrees all day. Any ideas?

edit: it’s not my daily, I try to run it once a week

tried everything, pumping, feathering, hammer down, all of it. A little pump/feather seems to help but that’s after 30 seconds at least

Not nearly that long of a crank before starting but I had to fix an old impala where two of the injectors were leaking slightly, after sitting 2-3 days the fuel in the cylinders created a slow crank. I've only seen it once but it might be worth checking, also of course check your fuel pressure and one way check valve.

it’s weird. The other day it started right up and I moved it 10 yards. Five minutes laters it wouldn’t start to save its life. Also good to note this isn’t my daily driver
