Hey guys I’m going to bail my friend out. Their car won’t start. I haven’t boosted a vehicle yet with my third Gen Tacoma. Does the battery cover just pop off (can I use my hands) or do I need a screw driver?

Red cable in Red post black cable on black spot right??

    Cover just pops off,no tools.

Correct, match colors. Owner manual details process.

    Working now a list
Red to red, black to black or black to known ground. Double check this.

On each battery put red on first than black.

The red cap pops off, if it really cold it's tough to get to pop off.

Don't let the cables ends dangle when putting them on and off, keep them separate and in control.

Don't put your face near the battery as they can fail when jumping.
