There’s a few really nice rear bumpers out there now. I’d do it if I didn’t lose the BSM system. I don’t rely on it, but it is a nice add on safety feature.

I’m wondering, is it not possible to make a bumper with a large enough cutout that a plastic insert could be made to house the sensor? Perhaps another collaboration opportunity for @MESO?

PS, I see your motivation for changing bumpers. Self inflicted or courtesy of Joe Random @markp88?

Such a contraption exists, I am forgetting who makes it. It doesnt look very pretty.

Further, the mfg of such a bumper could have a claim made against them if someone is at fault in a wreck and cites their BSM not working

@RushT i don’t see why they couldn’t do that. There’s not an after market bumper with that capability? Weird. I don’t have bsm.

None that I’m aware of and I’ve been surfing for them awhile.

Mobtown’s rear bumper has the cutouts for the sensors.

Edit: just saw its rear sensor compatible but not BSM

Hmmm, UAF might be a no go in that case.

For comparison why do people not put identical angles? Here's the old one straight on and here's the new one at an angle.

    Looks great though. I think.

@MFDOOM88 correct! Super easy. Only bummer is the wiring for the trailer jacket doesn’t reach.

Mine just arrived today, in an insanely huge box. Vacation next week, so I should have plenty of time to install it.
