Classic engineering chicken scratch, glad I’m not the only one who has terrible handwriting. Solid call out for the nema 4x enclosure.

Its an electrical waterproof box. Normally a standard junction box in a facility is a nema 4x design.

My dad was the doc, I'm an engineer....

First question on batteries: where are you putting them? You can put two under the hood, or (I recommend) moving them both elsewhere, either behind the rear seat or in the bed.

Next grab your two batteries, I got Optima yellow tip, which are a dual purpose (deep cycle and starting) .you need a "starting" battery to make the truck go, and deep cycle battery for "house" that's all the shit you'll hook up later. The dual purpose aren't cheap, but do both. Label one of them "starting" and the other "house" with a sharpie and date them.

The wiring is easy. Connect the red wire on your current battery to the new extension wire. Hook the other end of the red extension to the starting battery (positive). Do the same for black (ground/negative). I got a dual post connect block on Amazon for this purpose.

Next connect negative terminal wire on the starting battery to the negative terminal on the house battery.

Now it's time.for the ACR. Connect the positive terminal on the starting battery to the "b" terminal on the ACR, using the smart thick wire.you used to connect the starting battery to the engine. Then connect the house battery positive terminal to the "a" terminal on the ACR using the same wire. Once this is done wrap.some electrical tape around the terminals on the ACR so you don't zap anything. Those are hot just like the positive battery terminal

Now your ACR works in manual/local mode,by moving the switch on the top.

Now you have to wire up the ACR switch, follow the schematic it came.with to match colors and switch pins. Or buy me a beer and I'll come over and help.

Finally, you're going to connect the positive and negative terminals on the house battery to the positive and negative terminals on your fuze block/distribution panel thing. You should install either a fuze or a circuit breaker between the positive on the battery and the positive on the distribution block. Ideally this should be very close to the battery.

Available on Amazon in various sizes, it's waterproof, and you can drill holes to add waterproof wire conections into it.

My truck gets wet and muddy, which is bad.for electronics, so I need my shit waterproof. If you put the distribution panel in the cab, just seal up all the connections outside the cab and it will be fine

I like optima, but any decent starting rated battery and deep cycle .(house) will do. You can get both types at West Marine if there is one nearby you.
