As of right now, your method and my method is only way I know how to wire in the lights. Open to other suggestion though.

No, the 70mm in the new. I ordered 5 of them and recieved 3 of the 60s and the other two were backordered. When I finally received them, they were the "new style" and larger and didnt fit into my housing (I have the original 5 BD style housing.)

The paint used was PPG, my roommate is a manger at a local body shop. They hooked me up cost around 50 bucks for paint supplies.
Just used a red scuff pad and some 400 grit on it, then passed it on to the body shop for paint
Hopefully have it on this weekend, will definitely get some pics up afterwards

Thanks man, Gonna install this weekend. Gonna look nice with my stage 2 taillight kit.

NEW. New one is larger than old. Hence why it's a NO-GO to put a new one in the old housings. If it was the other way around that would be easy, I'd just make an adapter to take up the extra. Can go Big-->small but not the other way around:(

Regarding the wiring, I cut the wire off the factory light for the brakes, and checked for polarity with a meter.
Also ran a separate circuit for the bed lights.20190326_182554.jpg

Awesome. this is the first time I've seen the new KC on 2nd gen. It sticks out a little..but there's no way around it with the sizer of the cyclones. I'm glad I angled them down a degree or 2. Have anymore installed(daylight) pics?:)

Dam those look dope. Thank you so much those were the kind of pics Iv been itching for. Looks really good.

Did those caps for the lights come with the housing when you purchased or did you have to source them yourself?

Nice man. Imma take that route too. Does the housing sticking out look a bit awkward to you?

I don't have a problem with it. It has to stick out some to make the lights angle down towards the bed.
