It's certainly 100% possible they did. I'd have to check with our dealer sales team who handles that account.

I think the question is, in general, are there quality control issues with the new generation of Rock Lights?

Lifetime warranty, might as well! The back of them are potted really well, so I'm guessing if water is getting into them, its gotta be in the front between the lense and body of the rock lights. Mine should be very water tight after troweling in ceramic when I coat em! Lol.

There are no major issues with our Rock Lights.

We have received a few bad batches of rock light housings from our anodize vendor. We've had those housings stripped and re-coated from the vendor. Note: It's something we have caught before building and sending the lights to customers.

We are not experiencing any waterproofing issues. The epoxy we use when building the lights is very strong and provides a tight seal. The only issue is what I've mentioned above, those have primarily been caught before our customers could receive the lights.

The diameter of the bolt was a bit too snug and the distance between was too close in my case. I’m sure each is different. The left hole is round, the right is slightly elongated to accommodate differences.

Crack open the light from the outside. Drill the plastic and pull the stock light out. Reach in and remove 2X 10mm nuts. Never have to touch the headliner. I should have done it this way from the start

@mesojdm you are a Fu&@!) genius my man. I love this. Im going on a 2k mile road trip so there should be no reason why people cant see me. If i could stop and meet you i would. This product is the shit your ideas are out of this world, and for those trying to “save” your oem third light i say F it cut that off and put mesos on. The easiest way is to go through the back. Im a total noob and thanks to everyone here i was able to hook it up with ease after i put my headliner back together again. (Pictures to come)

But of course, like there would be another? Just waiting for the final ones to arrive before putting together the comprehensive comparison review.

I am BACK! Mountain of PMs to get to, but I will get back to everyone.
Rock lights are a hot commodity right now! I shall circle back around on my holdout early next week.

It's really been growing on me how you painted your light housing, never thought of that, I've been going back and forth and decided to paint it. Thank you for the idea! I wanted to get some opinions on the best way to do so because I don't want to do it twice.

I contacted a body shop & was quoted $350. He gave me suppliers number of where he gets his paint. I called paint supplier & they will mix the super white in an aeresol can for me and have a clear coat aerosol to finish it. So I was going to sand my BD4 with 400 grit sand paper then paint a few coats then clear coat a few coats. Is this good? Thank you!

They quoted you $350 to smooth and paint that housing? That's insane. You got any buddies who work at a body shop? I gave mine to my friend and he smoothed and paint mine satin black. I just wanted a nice smooth finish to match everything else on my truck. He did mention that he kept having issues with the lines showing through from the printing, so keep that in mind if you do your own. That may have just been an issue since I went satin though.

does anyone know if the antenna bolt is visible when removing the 3rd brake light? Wanting to remove the antenna when I wrap my roof and install my kc-5 rather than dropping headliner
