    You having trouble getting it past those tabs? Usually you could push it past and once they're behind the bezel they spring back out and hold it in place

    Not exactly. It’s the back of the enclosure that is stopping the camera from getting all the way through... I mean, I could grind it out, but based on the camera recommendation, I would rather not. I just want to make sure I got the right camera...

    P220 Cam fits perfect. It was the model I designed around. It's not the back clearance... it's the little silver clip -which you will have to remove(really easy, camera just unscrews apart). The silver clip has a larger diameter, and it was such a tight squeeze as it to fit the camera body in. Here's some pics;

    What are people with NMO lights using for an antenna (GMRS)? I'd like to use a phantom like this: https://www.amazon.com/Laird-Technologies-450-470-Phantom-Antenna/dp/B00794XNX6 but it requires a ground plane. Would a ground strap to one of the mounting holes be sufficient?

    Arcane offers a no ground plane variant but only in quantities of 10... Anyone wanna group buy? https://www.arcantenna.com/m2m-ante...nt-metallic-ground-plane-is-not-required.html

    Ground strapping doesn’t work as well as it does for concepts like CB radio. At the end of the day a GMRS or 2m, etc band antenna needs to be mounted to the exact ground plane to be considered a proper ground plane. Otherwise you should just run a NGP antenna. For GMRS, based on your antenna choice it looks like you want something lower profile, but it’s easier to just buy say a 1/2 wave antenna which usually require no ground plane, and simply unscrew the whip part of the antenna when you don’t need it.

    Not sure. The last batch kind of burnt me out, so taking a short break before the next round.

    After a long family trip, I think it’s likely I’ll end up with a shell on my bed. Is there much reason to run this 3rd brake light if there’s a shell behind the cab?

    You won’t be able to see it at all. Would be a waste of $200+ (Housing+lights) if I was in your shoes.

    No. But you would run a "blank" cover in its spot and use it for wiring pass through, etc.
