Any of you guys running the cyclone v2’s were you able to find a replacement hillman plugs? The ones that Meso sends are too big for the v2s. Thanks as always Tacoma Fam!

Yeah that’s what I have currently but it seems like the hillman plugs may be better since they’re hard plastic vs very small and thin rubber pieces. Going to go to Home Depot and see what size hillman will fit. Also going to look at nylon washers to make the lights more flush. Went through a ton of pages on this forum yesterday. Going to do the outside install method. Sometime between now and April. Will post pics once done. Been wanting this mod forever

I've seen a few color matched and they look phenomenal. I left mine as is to match the Off Road fenders and AVS matte black rain guards. Maybe I'll color match with a hexlight upgrade down the road.

As is, no issues - rocking 2+ years with ZERO issues - well, v1 lense failures… but that’s on KC.

Did they warranty their lenses? Mine have been messed up for a bit now. I didn’t know they had v2’s

Nope, is you check back in the thread, another member found a source on fleBay that will provide replacements with the correct diameter/holes cut that is a far superior product. No KC logo, but that’s on them. I have some spares but they are just the bare circles in clear/red, might even have got yellow.

I remember reading about it. I will look tonight. I'm installing gen 1 KC rock lights in the spring and want them sealed up good from water.

I looked up my purchase (I only bought red and clear)… Here is the fleBay item/seller.
I wish I had the info for having the holes cut. The seller may already have the info from prior.
My suggestion is not to cut the center hole, only the lens screws. Better seal and you won’t need to remove again, unless you are removing the whole assembly.

if you’re not familiar, there is a M shaped ring gasket on the inside and outside edge of the light that seals against the lens.

EDIT: Here is the post in this thread… post# 24609452

@MESO any updates on the hex 9 third brake lights? Just saw a video interview you did with bustabeatgeorge back at Sema 2019 and it reminded me about them and how awesome they look.

You won’t be disappointed. The ambers are 10 times brighter than the red brake lights.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Those with the BD4 or BD5 configuration... If you used a relay, where did you put it? Back at the light, then run a new +12V power wire up there?
