KC and BD housings have been sent out to testers. Once they are confirmed(or any tweaks needed) I can run some of them. The 2nd Gen housings should be a little cheaper and quicker to make since they are smaller and require muck less hardware.

Aw man! I heard that stuff is hard to find and crazy expensive!
Can we just make do with less hardware that is easier to find?

For the 3rd gen? You could source your own hardware, but some are pretty specific (M6 threaded C clips, Correct diameter/durometer o ring material for seal, etc)
The 2nd Gens wont need any of that, because it will reuse the stock seal, and they already have the stock mounting screws/holes.
Same as 2nd gen. Once they are good to go, they will work for 3rd Gen AC as well:D

So not to bother you too much but what KC version is the final design that's out in testing now?

To everyone who’s wired up the KC version:

Did any of you snap some pics of the process?
Are most of you just using taps or did any of you go with a 3 pin disconnect? I’m thinking of going that route with mine.

I was going to make a disconnect with weatherpack terminals, but the factory wires were too small (maybe 22AWG?). I didn’t have the right size terminals on hand and so straight wired with heat shrink butt connectors.

Factory wires are white (neutral), green (bed light positive), and purple (brake light positive). And use a small 4 pin disconnect.

@mesojdm Is the NMO Baja version still in the works?

Would love to see it somehow incorporated into this design.

In the 3rd gen access cabs(at least in mine), there is an extra plug behind the lower dash that is just sitting there unused. I assumed it was part of the rear brake light harness and was for the cargo light which we do not have. If so, is there an extra plug behind the third brake light as well for this mod?

I don't mean the extra filled slot, I mean a wiring harness plug just sitting back there. When I took it apart to install the remote starter I thought I had unplugged something by accident.

3rd Gen third brake light just has one connector in the rear headliner. I can’t speak to the connector in your truck... fog lights?

@Tonche The cargo light is in a plug with about 18 pins.

This is the cargo light lead I tapped for my bed lights.

If you notice my truck also has more than one empty plug. My truck is a 2017 Limited 4x2 with fogs, moon roof, JBL, power rear window, and tech package, yet I still have several empty slots. My guess would be these are for items I do not have on my truck such as MTS, 4 wheel selector, clutch over ride switch,TSS, auto brights, and so on.
