That is right, I joined the dark side:D

Let me start off by saying the TRD supercharger was a great blower and I thoroughly enjoyed it for 5 years but I had become very accustomed to the power and wanted more. I called up Gadget and told him what I wanted to do...3 days later he gave me an amazing deal and we went forward with it.

This is NOT an ordinary MK3...this is a C38-91 trim Rotrex(the BIG one) with 800cc primaries! MK4 perhaps? I will let Gadget name it;) I also added some t-bolts to the kit.

So whats it feel like? Uh...incredible! It makes my E85 TRD set up feel like nothing! And I can confirm that with video timing...thats right...it is faster than it was before, with pump 91, no weight reductions, higher elevation, warmer weather, and using stock 5500 limiter. It is a beast! It has laid down more rubber in the past few days that it ever did in 5 years with the TRD. Torque is nuts!

During data logging Gadget and myself were amazed to see IAT rise only 1* F at redline and flowing way way wayyyyyy past any of my TRD logs. The 7th hasnt even turned on yet, more timing can be added, increased revs, and smaller pulleys are still on the table but built engine would be needed. Guess what is next:D

The fit and finish of the kit is spectacular! I love the new look, and I cannot get enough of the new sounds! BOV is so addictive! Gadget really outdid himself on this kit!

I really have to thank Gadget for hooking me up with this kit and he even sent me a gopro3 to make everyone some drool worthy videos. Those are coming soon!!!

For now just sit back and enjoy these pics and a short teaser video:D

C38-91  Really hope they have the connections sorted out for the 09+ by this summer!

Figured this was going to happen and Gadget mentioned he'd finished the mapping for the 800cc Injectors, so something had to be up, very cool!

Now that you've had both, do you feel any lag in the URD setup at the low/mid range compared to the TRD setup?

    DYNO TIME

Would like to see Dyno numbers.. Any plans to ditch the 7th injector setup? The SC on my IS300 came with the split second 7th injector controller and the whole thing just never worked right. I went to bigger injectors at the cylinders and never looked back. The stock toyota ECUs are notorious for being a pain to work with. I was running a greddy e-manage to run my setup. It worked pretty well. I'm sure things have come a ways since 2004 though. Stand alone would the be the way to go, but not smoggable depending on where you live.

There is no lag whatsoever! low power(putting around town) is equal if not more than my big TRD set up, anything above 2500 rpm and the URD wins hands down...not even remotely close.

keeping the 7th as a back up in case it ever suddenly went lean, and of course to add more power down the road

this truck will never see a dyno...track only

We have to see this thing on the track. With your ability to throw it in 4hi then back to 2hi this should have no problem putting all this power straight to the ground. Which is what seems to be the issue for the X-runners with the URD setup.

I just got my TRD SC, going to have it installed sometime this week or early next week.

@superwerty werent you claimed to be the fastest 4x4 Tacoma with the TRD setup??? Now that you got the URD and it puts the TRD to shame what about the other people who had URD before you they would have to be faster then you right when you had your TRDor did you do something different with this setup that no one else has???
