Cleaned up the Sherpa today to get ready for riding season. It's been too long.

Is it just where it's parked or does it really make the rear squat that much? Wonder what the tongue weight is.

It is squatted alot, doesn't help that the rear is about 1/2" lower than the front already with just the cap on. I put the load distributing hitch system on today and it leveled out the rear. I'm still going to do some Firestone air bags and Daystar cradles though. The stock springs are very weak on these trucks. The tongue weight with the trailer fully loaded is about 700 pounds.

Nice truck. Good subtle mods. Love the latest addition with the trailer.

How big of a pain was the install? I’m jealous. Can’t wait to get the same set up.

It's not bad at all. Biggest tip I could give is to let your rear suspension droop some after you jack it up and it will give you alot more room to work. Driver's side is the worst side because you have the brake lines in the way.

Looks like you had a great trip. How did the new airbag setup work for ya? I’m anxious to hear the real world experience.

The set up worked great. I had a little trouble at first with a leaky fitting (I bought the air bag set used off of Craigslist) but once I got a new fitting installed it was all good. I had about 35 pounds in the rear with the trailer hooked up and drove 150 miles then went through a creek crossing and up into the hills. The side road to get to the camping spot was pretty rough but not too bad. The bags and cradles handled the uneven/washed out roads no problem. After unhooking the trailer and setting up camp I dropped the bags to 15 psi for a smoother ride for just regular driving around in the hills. I didn't really do anything to crazy, I never took it out of 2wd but it was the first time in the hills in the new truck. So far I'm happy with the set up. I think shocks are my limiting factor in the rear now.

Camp trip #4 of the season was a success. Just a short little trip up to Newport to visit with the in laws. Going to be adding a extra trans cooler here soon just to keep the tranny temps lower on long drives.
