    Ditto. Mine were white in when I bought it. I don't really think one looks better or worse than the other. It's just a personal preference.

    What is legal? Lol. I’ve not been questioned on my last 3 cars for any of the tint, tinted windshield, no front plate, etc. Don’t drive like a dbag, wave at cops and use your turn signal and no one will mess with you.

    State Troopers will here, regardless of anything. I'm a firefighter & am very familiar w/LEO's & their ways. State troopers are a whole other ballgame here. They don't mess around & 99% of the time don't give out warnings, just tickets. I've ran double limo on several vehicles & have caught hell for it. Plus, it becomes a PITA @ night. I wear sunglasses all day, every day & love dark tint but after all these years it's just easier to follow a tint law. Did you know there's several states where tint on the front 2 windows, any tint, is illegal? Colorado is one, or @ least it used to be.

    California is one also. But it’s to hot for that nonsense. I just put 20% on my fronts. I’ll just pay the ticket when it comes. It’s about the same as the cost of putting on the tint.

    Do they check when it gets inspected? They'll fail you here.
    Check this out:
    the LAW is 20% is darkest (can't receive a ticket if it's 20% or lighter)
    BUT
    it can't be darker than 25% to get an inspection. Stupid!

    Oh I understand. The hwy hogs here are pretty ruthless. I haven’t worn my sunglasses yet since getting the windshield done and I feel I have even better (more crisp) visibility at night and I live outside of town with lots of roads with no lighting.

    We don’t have vehicle inspections in CA like some other states do, other than a smog check every 4 years or something. So it would just be up to law enforcement to choose to ticket or not. There are a ton of vehicles that are tinted to some point. I’ve tinted every vehicle I’ve owned.

    Hey, sorry to jump into the conversation, but Im just curious about one thing. Do dealerships have laws they have to follow regarding tint? I bought this one new from my local toyo dealership and those are factory windows/tint. How would you explain that if you got pulled over? And so far Ive had not hassle from law enforcement.

    I don’t think factory will ever have tint due to the different state laws. But the dealer can probably add it or sell a used vehicle that had it installed, but you’re responsible as the owner. At least in the case of tint, other things I’m not sure.
