I did it mainly to make sure I got all the residue off the hood from where I removed the plasti dip last weekend. It worked and the truck is slick and shiny now

Not the best pic but just bought her 3 weeks ago. Did a full interior detail this week. Outside will be next.

Thanks! Guy before me put them on. Going to roll with them for a While. Once I decide to upgrade the tires, then I’ll get new wheels for it too.

Alright Superwhite owners... Who has tried and what's the best (Spray) touch-up paint to match our trucks? Haven't tried any to date and reading that paints like Duplicolor when using their clear coating cause a darker yellowish tinge. No one wants that obviously.

    Appreciate any opinions/advice!

Toyota used a single stage paint with no clear coat so regardless of what touchup paint you use you don’t want to use a clear coat. The duplicolor matches perfectly.

Thanks Matt... I realize our paint is a single stage. I'll give the Duplicolor a shot. Without the clear... I'm only using it to paint the fender flares, so we'll see how that goes

I tried the Duplicolor to paint the new gas door and the color was fine but the shine was not even close. The clear coat gave it the right shine but dulled/yellowed the color. I tried another custom mix and it also did not have the shine of clear coat even after wet sanding, buffing, waxing. So I'm still not sure what works to match best.

I have a sticky posted somewhere about paint repair. I repainted a flare and used Duplicolor then their clear over it since I was blending. Still holding up great 2 years later

Ive used duplicolor/clear coat for a few small repair spots. My eyes can see it the same as if I had used red paint. No one else can see it at all.

As much stuff as I have painted in my life I find it funny whe I look at the truck as the sun hits panels at different angles they appear different shades. I’ve never seen that white a single stage paint especially white.
