For me the only reason I have doubt is because in a year I'm going to be deployed for 7 months and the wife will be driving the truck while I'm gone.

Is it worth the money to do it then not be able to reap the benefits... And I worry that it will be to much for her to handle. She's 22 and let's just say not the most confident driver.

And know that im more for it than against it. Shoot some thoughts my way and let's figure this out!

I say no........its a v6 truck.....if you are getting the supercharger for its power and thrill to drive you wont be that impressed. Go on your deployment(thankyou btw for what you do) and come back and get a tundra......then SC that.......then dont let your young wife drive it;)

I say no. It's a truck, why do you want to make it go faster? I could see spending the money on supercharging a car, but I just can't see spending that much to supercharge a truck.

If you're looking for more power in a truck, buy a 5.7 Tundra.

I say wait and supercharge it when you come back, if you still feel like you want to. Are you thinking a URD or TRD blower?

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I beg to differ adding the SC to my truck was one of the best things I've done to my truck. I't like a whole new beast. Maybe just wait until you get back but yes do it you won't regret it.

If you have full intentions to own and drive the truck into the ground, then it would possibly be worth it. If you are only looking to drive it for a few years and then switch to something else, it may not be worth it.

By installing the supercharger kit, your in some ways narrowing potential future buyers. Practical truck buyers aren't going to want to spend an extra $4k (or $2k or less once devalued) on top of whatever the value of the truck is when it comes time to sell. Other truck buyers may think its been constantly beat on and driven hard, rightfully so, and may not even have interest in considering to buy it.

The ECU supercharger flash cannot be erased or overwritten, which means the supercharger must remain permanently installed to your engine, and doesn't allow a typical 'part-out'. Just some additional things to consider outside of the obvious.
