I'm going to look at a 2010 V6 with factory TRD supercharger tomorrow. It has 168000 miles. Anyone here have a factory supercharger? Wondering if there are any known issues, or if it is just as reliable as Toyotas are known to be.

    Thanks in advance.

    EDIT:

Nevermind. I forgot the search tool.

I have a 2011 with the TRD Supercharger. 103k miles and never had a problem with it. You do need to remove the supercharger to replace the spark plugs on the driver side. the belt needs to be replaced about every 25k in my experience. I changed the oil in the supercharger myself with a kit that comes with supercharger oil and a syringe at 90k miles.

Beat me to it. Also technically there was no factory supercharger. It was always an add on although installed at purchase by many. Buy it and come join the fun! Tons more you can do if you choose. Magnuson who made it for Toyota still produces it so plenty of support and parts

Went and looked at it Friday after work. Not sure when those pictures were taken, but it wasn't in the last 5 years. Had a bunch of scratches, DEEP scratches that looked like they tried to cover them with a crayon. Dozens of pock marks on the hood. Crome had oxidized. Thought the mirror was going to fall off when I closed the door. Interior was worse. Didn't even bother test driving or look in ng undernieth.

It's too bad, was pretty excited about it.
