Ok, so before this thread gets locked, does anyone actually know of any direct comparisons between the two quantifiable or otherwise? Maybe dynos back to back, drag racing, personal experience, etc.?

Most forced induction applications make a bigger difference in power than that. If you can still use the factory sized injectors, it's not making that much of a difference in power *for a form of forced induction*

I really am curious what kind of difference there is between the two. Maybe in the video I watched the engine wasn't in tip top shape, maybe he had tall tires and didn't regear. Maybe I'm purely just way off by gauging the speedometer, that's why I made this thread.

^The G-force is what gets me when driving a fast car.

However the only "fast" car I've driven was a S2000.

An automatic will only yield a higher top speed if your gearing is what's limiting you. Unless you have a heavily modified vehicle in both power and gearing, top speed is generally limited by power, not running out of gear.

IMO what it really comes down to is that the supercharger does make a very significant difference in power, but how much has that advantage diminished after you take into consideration then manuals advantages of:

    1. Much less parasitic power loss
    2. More mechanical advantage through gearing
    3. Being able to stay in exactly the rpm range you want
    4. Harder launch
