Every thing looks great so far!

Did you shrink wrap the wires?
Hopefully you DID NOT use the harbor freight shrink tube that has sticky backing stuff

Great write up. Going to do this today.

Do you add any gasket maker when bolting the pump back to the tank?

**Add heat shrink to connect, but without adhesive. I'm assuming because the gas will eat it up

As long as the gasket is in good condition your good, I did order a new one because I didn't want to take a chance,

Yes, the gasoline will eat up the adhesive type shrink tubes

Did you have to use a bigger fuse? Currently using 15 amp fuse and keeps popping on acceleration. Switch to 20 amp fuse and seems to be running OK. Not sure if its a good or bad idea to run stronger fuses.

Nope, I'm wondering if there could be another issue?
Those fuel pump wires are pretty small gauge to begin with,
I hope pump is not defective,
Did you replace fuel filter and clean injectors,?
If they were plugged the pump would draw more current to push fuel

YOU: I'm happy with my powerband now
Also YOU: Install even more parts, Run E85
    upload_2022-10-25_11-11-14.jpg

When I had the map selector switch working on my AEM FIC I would run E85 on occasion- its bonkers. I need to fix my Greddy EMU's mod to do the same.

Maybe less dramatic for you as you ran water/meth, but E85 might be the most power you've felt yet on your setup, it will let you run crazy advanced timing.

I don’t know about e85 as it needs 35 - 40 percent more fuel flow.
Except for a 50 shot of NOS :))) the haltech is already setup with all the programs for that and controlled by the haltech for fine tuning if one was too,
I haven’t run E85 before, might be something to look at setting up a dual map on a switch with the haltech would be easy to do.
If your needing more fuel pressure you can add an FMU also.
I don’t use the methanol for tuning, just for reducing the heat,
Methanol is not needed with my setup with the haltech and the 340 pump and stock injectors and the FMU.
Running stock injectors because of emissions testing is why,
Running E85 burns 40 percent faster? Than gasoline?

Thus larger primaries- I run 625cc with the Greddy EMU

You have a much better option, the flex fuel sensor you put in the fuel return line and the Haltech sees the percent and adapts the tune on the fly. With my piggy switch method I'd need to run 91 octane to empty, then fill E85, switch- then run that to empty , fill 91 and switch. With the senor you can just filll whatever and it would see 85%, or 60%, or 40 etc and adjust fuel/spark accordingly.

For me, OEM was sufficient. No extra pressure needed, just flow.

That sucks- I guess you mean you unplug the Haltech and plug OEM back in for testing times. I'm thinking the Haltech can support a 7th injector (meaning just for E85 enrichment) (would have to just add some wiring)- another way to keep primaries at OEM size. When on OEM ECU the 7th would just stay shut all of the time.

E85 is insane. At your pulley size that is a lot of heat, E85 will let you add a boat load of timing back in- imagine making yet another 60 hp/tq more in the low end.

If I knew I could get an additional 50 or 60 torque I would definitely sign up for E85, that would be something!
    I’m running a 1.9” pulley but because I’m at 6000 feet it’s probably like a 2.1 at sea level.

I know this is an old post, but that looks great. Do you mind sharing what paint and method you used? Had my fuel pump go bad on me, so I decided to take the bed off and get some stuff done while its off.
