my friend and i have 4cyl tacos, only mines a 5spd and his is auto, and he says he's putting a supercharger on it to push 37s on a 9 inch lift. he says it will work, but i figure you would still have to re-gear..right?

The truck body is only 66 inches high. The wheels will be half the size of the truck. I'm gonna have to see this one.

gears are a must. axleshafts, clutch and tranny are another story. engine should do fine (no speed demon) but will operate under higher % sustainable load majority of its life shortening its longevity. Fuel pumps, water pumps and keeping it cool is gonna be a challenge. Please post pics and mileage figs, lol...

The torque converter will be the first thing to go.
