I found a 3.4L 2ND Gen supercharger with methanol injection kit for $2600

Supercharger has 60,000 miles and a new nose cone assembly, rear inner bearing, new belt and tensioner.
New Devils Own progressive meth injection kit with built on Map sensor.

This is a lot of money, is this a good deal?

A new sc is 5k plus whatever the meth injection costs. I wonder why it has those parts replaced already.

I think he's referring to the 2nd gen s/c for the first gen, just seeing how it's a 98 taco.

A new S/C runs at 3k, dunno anything about the meth kit. It would be nice to have a rebuilt charger, but for that cost id almost consider a brand new one ( but I have no idea what the meth kit costs). Fyi I recently bought a 1st gen charger with 80,000 with a new nose on it for $800, after the belt, new idler bearing and some oil I was still under $850.

Little high but not crazy. If you could get him down to $2,200 I'd say go for it.

First gens are regarded as being worth a lot less. I don't know the reasoning but the second gens go for way more.

I got my SC brand new from URD for 2600 on sale. I wouldn't pay more than 2k for that setup, and only if you're specifically looking for a meth injection system.

He wanted $2500 for the supercharger and $500 for the meth kit. I got him down to $2600.
And the cheapest I have seen a supercharger go for in the last year was $1800.

Yeah that's way too much for the SC, might as well buy brand new with warranty and the whole install kit.
